Biomechanical - Announce New Drummer
The following message was posted on Progressive Thrash metal band Biomechanical's official website:
"We are very pleased to announce that Jonno Lodge, a very talanted 18 year old drummer from Doncaster will be fulfilling the drumming duties for Biomechanical.
I can't quite believe that we got somebody in just a few days! The response for the drumming position has been overwhelming and I would like to thank all who contacted us.
Jonno is an avid Dream Theater fan which makes it easier for us to gel with him in terms of time signature changes etc. Has been playing the drums since the age of four and is classically trained.
After watching his solo realised the potential of this collaboration could be awesome and the only logical thing after hearing him play was to offer him the job! So would like to welcome the dude in the band and to say that we are looking forward to working with him!"

Konkhra - New Song Online
Danish extreme metallers Konkhra recently re-recorded their long-awaited new album "Nothing Is Sacred" after encountering technical difficulties which forced them to scrap some of the previously completed early tracks.
The following message was posted on their official MySpace page:
"We have uploaded the song 'Hail To The King' from our forthcoming album "Nothing Is Sacred". The song is a roughmix, but we think its close enough to upload. We will replace the song once it is 100% finished. So if you have an oppinion about the mix or the song you are welcome to shout it out. We will listen to everyone. You can mail the band through info@konkhra.com, or if you're a myspace friend well appreciate it if you took the time to leave us a note. The song is mixed by Tue Madsen, and produced by the band as is the rest of our songs for the new cd. IF youre an A/R and want to hear more, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We have several cool offers (thanks for keeping us in mind!) but we will take our time and look at everything we get between now and the next month or so, by then we should be able to make a decision and finally get this pile of twisted, bent outta shape out from the shadows."

"We would like to announce the addition of new drummer Trey Williams, from Baltimore, MD. We regret it has become necessary to part ways with Duane Timlin, however we thank Duane for his contributions to the band and we wish him the best in his future endeavors. This lineup change will not have any effect on our tour plans, which will go ahead as scheduled. Trey gave us a fantastic audition, we have seen firsthand that he has the professionalism and dedication we would expect. We look forward to our next tour plans with great confidence - we feel the fans will agree that this change will be good for the band and our live performances."

After more than 15 years Brainstorm and long time bass player Andreas Mailänder has decided to go separate ways. "... Since my working situation is not going to ease up in the long run I won't be able to combine it with the upcoming touring for the new BS release. I'm left with no choice but to leave Brainstorm...". Because my working situation is not going to ease up in the long run and I won't be able to combine it with the upcoming touring for the new Brainstorm release, I'm left with no choice but to leave Brainstorm...Too often the guys had to do without me, in difficult times they always stood beside me as friends, as the BS family and supported me in every possible way. I don't want to strain this friendship any further!!
I'm certain that the new BS album will deservedly bring the band further forward, the pay for the hard work of the band!! After so many hardworking years with each other, I don't want to hold the band back anymore and allow the band a kickstart for the release of the new album and the upcoming world tour. Of course I'll continue to be present through my Myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/amailaender) and will follow Brainstorm's career with mixed feelings... and please feel free to contact me whoever you are!

The Old Dead Tree - New Album Details
Parisian goth metallers The Old Dead Tree have returned from Stage One Studio in Germany, where producer Andy Classen recently finished recording, mixing and mastering the band's latest opus, "The Water Fields" which will be released on September 17 via Season of Mist.
"The band went further again, reaching a new stage in terms of songwriting and maturity. This album is much heavier and darker, but also more diverse and full of sheer emotion! Even the production of Andy Classen outdoes the job on our previous material", vocalist/guitarist Manuel states.

"Many of you have been waiting for sound, and we are sorry for the silence. We needed to be alone, without the hustle and bustle of the living. We are uncomfortable with the world, the industry and our place. We have been working, sluggishly, well aware we could end up with nothing. Nonetheless we believe we have succeeded in giving our fears some kind of form. "Shadows Of The Sun", our 7th full-length album, is finished and will be released October 1st.
