The Amenta - New Album Details

According to a Listenable Records press release: "n0n", the long awaited follow up to the debut "Occasus", sees The Amenta redefining extreme music. Rather than relying on the cliché shit in which other bands are content wallow, The Amenta have constructed an album built on new ideas, new concepts, new sounds and new techniques. "n0n" is the fusion of whitenoise, shards of dissonant guitars and dense layers of radio chatter. Lyrically, "n0n" is a newscast, showing you the shit around you. Suicide bombers and evangelists, freeways and dead ends. "n0n" stands as an indictment on todays media and technology addicted society.

The album will be released on October 20th via Listenable Records.

"n0n" cover] tracklisting:

01. On
02. Junky
03. Vermin
04. Entropy
05. Slave
06. Whore
07. Spine
08. Skin
09. Dirt
10. Atrophy
11. Cancer
12. Rape

Satyricon - Upcoming Album Update

Norwegian metellars Satyricon have issued the following update::

''The last week and a half has been very eventful, recording vocals, brass with people from the the Broadcasting orchestra and the philharmonic, last night we had a choir called Grex Vocalis in the studio and we did a big photo shoot last weekend with tame wolves and lynx's (that were not tame) at some sort of reservate up in the mountains here in Norway. Very fascinating and powerful! We also went to some locations which represent the country's dramatic nature in a great way.

This week we're finishing the final recordings and preparing the album for mix. Saturday we play Kaltenbach Open Air in Austria and Monday we fly back to L.A to mix the record with Joe Barresi and do mastering with Brian Gardner.

Euro tour is currently being lined up for mid November till late December these days and we're coming to back to America for the first time since 04 in January and February as direct support for COF.

On the next update, the album title will be revealed. Take care.''

Amoral - Parts Ways With Singer

Finnish metallers Amoral have issued the following update:

"We are sad to inform you that Niko is leaving Amoral. A while ago he sat us down and told us that he's having serious motivation problems and feels like it's time to do other things. We were in shock, as none of us saw this coming. We were sure Niko was enjoying the ride just as much as we were. We tried reasoning with him, even offering him a year-long break to do whatever else he feels like he needs to do, but quickly realized he had already made his mind.

Of course we were devastated at first. Niko was just as crucial part of the band as the rest of us, and also our frontman, the voice of the band. Was this the end of Amoral? The rest of us discussed this and were happy to see that we all felt that there's no way we're stopping now. We've worked too hard to get where we are, and we enjoy playing together, so why would we give it all up? We decided to look at the bright side of the situation: this would be our chance to pursue in a more melodic direction, something we've wanted for a long time but weren't able to do with Niko. This shouldn't come as a surprise for you who've been following our doings. The "rock n' roll vibe" has been present in our live shows and songs since our second album Decrowning, and especially on the last album Reptile Ride, which had some melodic vocals and a lot of stuff not suitable under the "technical death metal" -tag we've had on us…

We'll leave it to Niko to explain his decision more specifically. Niko, good luck with whatever it is you decide to do in the future. It was a pleasure having you in the band, and you'll always be "one of us", just like your Amoral tattoo suggests.

Niko's last gig with us will be at the "Thrashia Läpi Yön" - festival at Tammela, Finland on August 23rd. After this we'll take a long break from gigs, and start writing the 4th Amoral album. We already have a lot of material to work on, even a couple of songs 99% ready, and we're hyped about how these sound! No release dates or any kind of deadlines have been decided on, as we wanna get this just right."

Krisiun - E-Card Online

An-card for "Southern Storm", the new album from Krisiun, can be accessed at this location.
Due in Europe on July 21 (on August 5th in North America) via Century Media Records, the CD was once again recorded at Stage One Studios in Borgentreich, Germany with producer Andy Classen (Tankard, Rotting Christ, Dew-Scented), who previously worked with the group on 1999's "Conquerors Of Armageddon" and 2006 "AssassiNation".

According to a press release, the album "offers everything the band's rabid fan base loves since day one: ferocious high-speed blasting, infectious double bass-driven grooves, razor-sharp riffs, devastating leads and a unique feel for combining catchiness with technicality. Tracks like the massive opener "Slaying Steel", "Combustion Inferno" or the band's rendition of the Sepultura classic "Refuse/Resist" are nothing but crushing death metal hits!"
