Sonic Syndicate - New Album Ready

Original news, posted on 05.03.2010

Modern metallers Sonic Syndicate have revealed the first details for their upcoming effort We Rule The Night, out May 28th via Nuclear Blast.

"The time has once again arrived for all of us in Sonic Syndicate to unleash a new album on the world. Just a short time ago we burned down your city and now we're back with full force to announce that We Rule The Night. Over the last few months we've been working on the artwork for our new album - coming out on May 28th, 2010 - with our good friend Gustavo Sazes. We asked Gustavo to create a bright cover that was also very dark to fit with the title of out new album. After countless hours of frustration and adjustments an email arrives with what has now become the brightest yet darkest cover we could possibly hope for. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages. We present to you the cover artwork of our new album, We Rule The Night."

The album was recorded at Bohus Sound Studios in Sweden, with US producer Toby Wright (KISS, Korn, Mötley Crüe, Slayer, Stone Sour). Tracklisting and more details to be announced soon.

UPDATE (thanks to BudDa)

Sonic Syndicate have revealed the tracklisting for We Rule The Night, due May 28 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Here's another comment by the band: "We Rule the Night is a result of everything that Sonic Syndicate has been and has become. When Nathan joined the band in 2009 a fire ignited and everything just felt truly natural for the first time in many ways. We're having more fun then ever, the music started flowing like water and We Rule the Night is the most exciting album we've recorded to date!"

We Rule The Night [cover art] tracklist:

04. My Own Life
05. Burn This City

Looks like the cover of an OST of one of those gay Twilight movies...Bet it will sound like one too, haha...

P.S. OK, this is waaaay out of line, since when have they become a Gothenburg band!!!? This is a fucking INSULT to gothenburg metal... It's like calling Tokio Hotel NWBHM...kinda...

The cover were kind of disappointment, it doesnt look very modern that represent the music. Hope the album won't suck like the "Burn This City" witch is their worst song ever.

Great cover but the band's logo sucks...

Not only the logo. I will always remember the time I checked "Only Inhuman" at the music store, not knowing what to expect. One of the most horrendous garbage I ever heard.

I saw them open for Dark Tranquillity a couple of years ago. And they were horrendous at best, indeed. A totally made and marketed Nuclear Blast band. If they hadn't been pushed and supported as much no-one would know about them. It is actually a disgrace that Nuclear Blast gives them this much support. They should do that with talented bands and not bands that are marketed at wet-patch-teeny-girls.

One more example of how metal can be close to pop in its attitude nowadays and of how it became a fast-food counter. Albums like that are pure commercial products made on an assembly line. Such a bloody shame.

And there are still ass-lickers to praise Nuclear Blast.

First half of the song titles sound a bit to poppy to me, the second half sounds more like the old Sonic Syndicate, still got good hoop for the album though

The title tracks sounds to me like they were a pop band. Well we are a pop band these days. Looking forward to hear it anyway. Hope it sounds better then "Burn This City" witch was awful.

I really find offense to the fact it lists their sound as Gothenburg metal. We know what Gothenburg metal sounds like, and this is not it. not even at the worst attempt. this is a manufactured sound. when i saw them off stage i thought a bunch of gay emo kids came to a show. they sucked live.
It's a shame when there are such good underground bands around the world who deserve much more exposure and a record deal.
We don't need this washed out garbage.

if i didn't have metal, i wouldn't have anything. besides my girlfriend, and she's fucking awesome. bought my ticket to Opeth.
