Primordial - New Album Cover Art And Tracklist Revealed

Irish metallers Primordial have revealed the artwork and tracklisting for their upcoming album, Redemption At The Puritan's Hand, which will be released on April 23rd in Europe (April 26th in North America) via Metal Blade Records.

About the front art, vocalist A.A. Nemtheanga commented: "So it's finished, ready, done and dusted as they say. The cover was done again by our by now resident art executioner Paul McCarroll from Unhinged Art. Simple I think you will admit but definitely one that we argued least about through all the years, dark, macabre and beautiful it perfectly portrays the themes of the new album, which I will get into shortly."

Redemption At The Puritan's Hand [cover art] tracklist:

01. No Grave Deep Enough
02. Lain With The Wolf
03. Bloodied Yet Unbowed
04. God's Old Snake
05. The Mouth Of Judas
06. The Black Hundred
07. The Puritan's Hand
08. Death Of The Gods

The tracklist is bad@$$, but I don't like the artwork...too austere for a band who're all about the atmosphere...

I really can't wait for this! the artwork is strange, too simple but brave in a way and the track listing sounds promising too

Not a fan of the track titles or the album cover, but I'm still going to give it a listen.

Cover art is OK, but who cares? One of the most anticipated releases of 2011 for me.

Wow, a 3 day difference between Europe and NA release dates? Usually it's much more. And I kind of like the album cover.

I like it. It's simple, symbolic and beautiful. The song titles are the least of my concerns.
If the music is at the same level as their latest, it will be killer.

Despite being known as a "Primordial hater" here I will try this out when it comes out, hoping that I like it.

"Death of the Gods" sounds fucking epic. I can just imagine Allan roaring something massive over a theme like that.

I remember reading a while back on their site that they were taking a darker direction with this album, and that is certainly reflected in the song titles and cover art. I have a feeling that this (along with the new Amorphis!) is going to be massive, one of the best of the year for sure. I at least hope I enjoy it more than their last one, which for me was a bit of a disappointment after "The Gathering Wilderness".
