Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - New Album Cover Unveiled
The cover artwork from the upcoming Luca Turilli's Rhapsody album titled Ascending To Infinity has been unveiled. The album will be released worldwide on June 29th via Nuclear Blast. The cover was created by Felipe Machado Franco, also known for his work for bands like Blind Guardian, Rhapsody Of Fire, Rage, Iron Savior and Vorpal Nomad. The band also issued this statement about the new singer: "Hi to everybody. We all know that many of you were waiting for the news about our new singer and it is true that his name was supposed to be revealed right today. But as the mix of the album already started and the result of his artistic performance on Ascending To Infinity is simply brilliant, then we decided to not present our singer by simply revealing his name. Instead, with the next news of Tuesday, March 27, we'll present him in the best way possible, the one we know you surely prefer. This means that on that day you will have the possibility to discover him and his talent listening to some excerpts from our new album, exclusively from our new band's website!"

The guys split into 2 bands to earn more dough, not to go their separate artistic ways. So it makes perfect sense that the logo is basically unchanged. The old united Rhapsody was unbearably terrible, so I imagine this one will suck like a vacuum cleaner the size of an elephant. I'll make sure I listen to the album as a guilty pleasure, thus feeding my brains before I mercilessly bash it into last week.

I must admit, I was expecting an album cover reminiscent of the older Rhapsody albums. The fact that this looks exactly like the new Rhapsody of Fire covers does not bode well with me. Hopefully the sound, at least, will return to the original Rhapsody style.
