So they're all playing 7s now? That's kool, I guess. I was kind of looking forward to Fountainhead being on the release; wonder if this song was written with or without him. I thought Hannes left because he wanted to play more progressive, kinda like this, but Steffan wanted to play more straightforward and catchy...? O_o

Compared to the new Faceless track that did comparatively little for me. Never saw the great appeal of this band anyway.

First listen remarks: something seems off with the mixing, new guitarists kicks fuckin ass, vocals seem to be very one dimensional compared to their previous stuff, both the bass and the drums could use a little more creativity, and I'm not sure about the song.. it hooked me for a second time listening, but apart from the lead guitar it seems a bit uninspired...

Lead guitar is ok I guess, everything else is just plain boring... nothing interesting happening from bass, drums, vocals, just a big meh.

It's typical Obscura song. Glad that they're back with the more melodic style, like Cosmogenesis release.

Muenzner is a MUCH better fit for Obscura's sound.. I just really don't dig Fountainhead's style (idk why) all that much and I don't think he compliments this band well. And shit, Grossman was badass, too. Obscura will sorely miss them.. I'd be shocked if this album came even close to the last two (for my tastes). Song wasn't bad, though... just not great.

Won't be the same band without Muenzner and Grossmann, of course. It's a good enough song, and I'm sure I'll like the album. I don't expect anything groundbreaking, though. Enjoyable enough for the genre, still better than plenty of other tech bands that haven't figured out how to not be boring. The melody is good, and the new guys can obviously play.
