Grave Miasma - Upcoming Release Cover Art Unveiled

The first details of Grave Miasma's new mini-album arrived today. The U.K. death metal band has just unveiled the cover artwork for their upcoming MLP entitled Endless Pilgrimage, to be released by Sepulchral Voice Records / Profound Lore Records. Feast your eyes on the cover art painted by Costin Chioreanu below. It's been almost three years since the release of their full-length debut Odori Sepulcrorum in September 2013. More should be revealed soon, so be patient.

I like the artwork but I hate how they handled the logo.

Yeah it's a bit haphazard.

They should make a new logo.

Unlike Seth or the Baroness guy, I somehow never get tired of how prevalent Chioreanu's artwork is in the metal community

Cool album cover, lame indecipherable logo.

I think it's perfectly readable compared to your average death/black metal band logo. But it is lame indeed.

I think they have some influence of it. Some reviews indicate this, too

Like mz said no black metal in Grave Miasma whatsoever. Pure unadultered death metal they are.

I don't think the logo looks lame or ugly. It simply doesn't match the background in this particular case.

Yeah, it's readable, but it just looks bad. The band is death metal anyways and they're using more of a black metal logo. It's off. The album art is also this very stylized art/comic look to it too, so the logo is jarring. It makes the logo look like a stamp thrown on afterwards.

I do not think that having a dark atmosphere makes an album black metal. Neither the production nor the guitar style are typical of black metal.
