Kamelot - Premiere New Video

Kamelot have shared a brand new video for their song "Amnesiac" off of The Shadow Theory, which was released in April via Napalm Records. The video was filmed and produced by iCODE Team, Serbia, in May 2018. Enjoy!

The band added: "We are constantly receiving tons of information from all directions and it is telling us how to be, what to do and what to want... So is the reality we are navigating every day even real? That's a question we all might wanna ask ourselves from time to time."

That wasn't too bad actually, I liked the song. It sounded fresh and not a rip-off of a previous song like Phantom Divine.

The best song on the album, but that's not saying much.

This song is a total failure! Wish they did a video for My Crimson Bride instead

The more I listen to the new album the more it grows on me. Nowhere near as good as The Roy's classics admittedly, but enjoyable on its own.

I feel the same way. This song in particular was my least favorite at first, but now it's in my top 3.

I thought this album made Poetry not so bad.

I have to disagree. At least, with Poetry they tried something new, not a rip-off of the last two albums already done, and that's my main concern with The Shadow Theory, it just sounds boring and mediocre, especially the first two singles. Plus, Poetry had Khan in it.

PFTP is a classic compared to this album, and this song in particular.

well, this only proves music is very much a matter of taste...for me, PFTP is the worst power metal album of the last decade. superboring, uninventional, total loss of creativity, too dark. the album, where even Roy couldn't save the whole thing...but it is just my opinion, I don't try to change yours. however I admit the best records of this band were brought to light in period 1999-2005.

I find it funny how most people either love the new album or totally hate it. I don't see the hate for it at all, not Poetry either to be honest. But I dunno, I seem to find everything Kamelot put out enjoyable. And I really love Amnesiac, so I am glad they did a video from it.

And you call this album better? At least with that album I found 2-3 good songs. With this one, and the previous one none. Sure, there was a loss of creativity from Ghost Opera onwards. But none of that malarkey compares to what came after Khan left.

PFTP is hated precisely because it is different. Not necessarily because it is boring. There is more going on in that album that in this one by a long distance. Roy may not have saved PFTP as a whole, but not even an army of Roys would have been able to save the past 3 albums.
