Huldre - Disbanding
One of Danish leading folk metal acts, Huldre, decide to call it quits. Since their formation, Huldre released two studio albums, Intet Menneskebarn (2012) and Tusmørke (2016). For the band, there are still couple shows left to perform before the very end.
Band comments as follows: "The Huldre returns to the forest. After 10 amazing years of forestclad stages and songs of death, love and bones, we have made the tough decision to part ways. The Huldre has returned to the forest where it came from but maybe one day it will again desire to be wrapped in music and madness with us.
"We wish to say thank you in a proper manner and invite you to farewell-mead and dancing at Wacken Winter Nights (24/2), Voxhall, Århus (16/3) and Pumpehuset, Copenhagen (29/3). It will be a cornucopia of mead, dancing, partying, cones and bones and we look forward to seeing you for one last dance and toast. More info will come on that.
"We feel overwhelmed by all the amazing experiences we've had and filled with gratitude for the support and great energy we have received from people in the metal and folk scene, and not least of all, from YOU, dear fans! It's been an adventure to present our take on folkmetal domestically as well as abroad, and we have experienced more than we dared dream of 10 years ago, when we stood in a rehearsal space with, quite literally, toads jumping around our feet and fungi growing out of the walls. THANK YOU! You can still follow us out there in various other project, and we will also keep you posted on that. Hugs from all of us and see you later."
