Alcest - First Single And Music Video 'Protection' Launched
On October 25th will Alcest release their sixth full length, Spiritual Instinct, which was recorded at the French Drudenhaus Studios. Today, the French duo premiere first single and music video, "Protection", now available for streaming. The clip was directed by Craig Murray.
Frontman Neige comments: "Protection" is the first track I wrote for Spiritual Instinct. It's probably one of our most heavy, spontaneous songs. It is about inner conflict, the tension between the spiritual and darker sides of a person, facing your own anguishes in order to embrace them and then fight them. Like the other tracks on the album, writing it was a very cathartic, healing process for me."

I feared that the Nuclear Blast move would negatively impact their sound and more specifically the production, fortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. Good song.
