Igorrr - Share New Video, Featuring George 'Corpsegrinder' Fisher

Igorrr premiere an official video for the newest track "Parpaing", featuring Cannibal Corpse vocalist George 'Corpsegrinder' Fisher. The group's upcoming outing, Spirituality And Distortion, is scheduled for a March 27th release via Metal Blade Records.

Comments Igorrr mainman Gautier Serre: "We are so honored to welcome the final boss of death metal: George Fisher, to sing on one of the most brutal Igorrr tracks we have ever made. I've been a huge fan of George since the legendary albums Gallery Of Suicide and Bloodthirst from Cannibal Corpse which had a pretty serious influence on my music.

"His participation makes a complete sense to me and to this track: who's got a better voice than George Fisher's voice and could fit better on chiptune 8 bit music? Heaviness versus its opposite, I found on this track the perfect match, the perfect balance."

Way too repetitive, once again a disappointing track, but maybe I shouldn't be that disappointed, seeing that the last album was a step down from the previous albums (yes I changed my opinion since my stupid review)

While I'd say the combo guitar/bass is super fun on this track. I have good faith in the upcoming album now, but baroque music and Ricinn and Oxxo and funny instruments are yet undercover... I hope we will hear them soon

Well... The 8-bit Igorrr part was good, the rest was just average...

2 down and I'm still underwhelmed.
Could it be that Gautier has run out of ideas?

If I want to listen to a metal band, I'll listen to a metal band. What attracted me to Igorrr wasn't their metal moments - it couldn't be, they were quite scarce, but now they're just an (way less) experimental metal band and there are crazier and better metal bands out there. Bummer.

Their old stuff is better.

Wow it's that bad heh?

No it's not, it's just... terribly average on the whole, I guess

Nobody has put 2 and 2 together? A Meatheaded death metal tinged track for the walking potato George Fischer? Notice the track with Travis Ryan was much better and every riff Teloch has done for them on Hallelujah were excellent. I'd say its crafted for his dynamic, which is he has none. You might also consider how the quality has dropped since signing to Metal Blade, I think that has alot to do with the amount of generic metal parts becoming more frequent on Savage Sinusoid and will probably compel this album to toe that same line. When Igorrr's audience was consigned to the electronic underground the breakcore was more the base of the sound. After needing to add " a band" of session members I think it'll continue to head this direction more and more bc most metal fans don't want to hear sliced up breakbeats and bitcrush. Hopefully I'm wrong because I really love this project and 90% of the output is insanely good

-tl;dr cannibal corpse is probably the least interesting death metal band besides Deicide so no surprise this track was equally bland

Haha.... I loved this song, I love cannibal corpse and I think it's awesome they did something with Fischer. Yes it's not really original? So what? I didn't mind this album however I think Igorrr is losing their original sound and perhaps becoming mainstream (basic techno/ death metal) probably a reflection on the cd label
