Blind Illusion - Recording First Album In Ten Years

Blind Illusion, Bay Area progressive thrash metal legends, recently announced via Facebook that they have been in the studio tracking their third studio album, which will be their first since 2010's Demon Master and first release with former Death Angel drummer Andy Galeon.

The band issued the following statement: "Blind Illusion is happy to announce we are recording a new album with the incredible Bay Area Thrash Metal legend Andy Galeon on the drums! Drums for the first 4 songs are done and we are quickly catching up. Look soon for our first release of new music!"

Formed in 1978, Blind Illusion didn't release their first album The Sane Asylum until 1988, which featured Primus members Les Claypool and Larry LaLonde, and was produced by Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett. The band broke up in 1989, but reunited in 2009, and their current lineup now features Mark Biedermann (guitar, vocals), Doug Piercy (guitar), Tom Gears (bass) and Andy Galeon (drums).
