U.S. power metal leading band Iced Earth are celebrating the 30-year anniversary of their self-titled debut and they will be offering a brand-new edition featuring high class remixing and remastering courtesy of Zeuss. It is going to be released on December 18th, 2020, via Century Media Records and you can now stream ''The Funeral" below.

Back in 2018 Jon said they would re-record their early albums since they didn't have the rights to the original masters and don't get income from them. It's been nearly 3 years since he said that without them happening. I would be willing to bet Century Media worked out a deal with him and these remasters are more of a way to finally get income from these albums without re-recording. Claiming its a 30year anniversary is likely just convenience.
