Dream Theater - New Album Tracklisting
Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy has issued the following update:
"Hey Gang,
Well we just mastered the album today, so it is now officially finished and will be in the hands of Roadrunner Records tomorrow!
In order to be able to release the info before some obscure fan website in Poland does, here's the final track listing and production credits for ya:

"This album's got all of the elements we've become known for," reveals drummer Mike Portnoy, who co-produced the CD with guitarist John Petrucci (Paul Northfield engineered and mixed the effort). "The focus on musicianship, the skull-crushing riffs, the big progressive epics and the heart-wrenching melodies. We've got one of the strongest and most devoted fan bases in the world, and they should certainly be happy with the new material." The disc sports seven new songs, one of which runs 25 minutes.

I'm absolutely excited about this album. The fact that Dream Theater signed to Roadrunner Records proves absolutely nothing (there have been released great albums like Opeth's "Ghost Reveries" and absolute failures like Trivium's "The Crusade" under this label); on the other hand, Paul Northfield is the guy who mastered that jewel called Operation: Mindcrime. I'm sure Dream Theater shall never let me down, as they never did.

Am I correct remembering the Glass Prison storyline is to be continued? Well they never said it will be followed exactly on this album, but if a 4th part is still coming, it's most likely on Systematic Chaos. I only wonder which song of these it will be... I guess it's "Repentance" So they haven't published the album cover anywhere yet? Even on an obscure fan website in Poland?

Hope that roadrunner didn't change the Dream Theater style (that is a little different in every album anyway...). Can't wait for it!
