It’s funny BE because those bands are three of my favorite because of the change in sound. I like the songwriting of those bands and enjoy hearing it in different genres. Just a different take.
I did listen 3 albums 3 times each from work, check out comments. I work alone and Habo not don't 20% from things I supose to do. Don't feel like wanna do. I get paid anyway

Waclaw ‘Vogg’ Kieltyka on the first single: "It wasn't easy to pick the first single from Cancer Culture. Each song has this different vibe that we would like to show as soon as possible and be proud of. Since the "Cancer Culture" is the first song from the album, we decided that this would be the perfect way to introduce you to new music. It is the album's opening chapter, and you know, what you can expect."
I think they are trying to push the boundaries, and add shock value with these song titles, which has always been a traditional purpose from death metal bands from the very beginning, unfortunately this comes across as pretty lame these days tbh. The song titles won't bother me though if they can back it up with quality music, and decent lyrics, but from what I have heard from this single, I'm not expecting much.
The album/single title hurts my soul. I feel like I have to defend this band more and more, because their music is still great as far as I'm concerned. But man, they don't make it easy on me.
I would assume the title is a word play on cancel culture so it's actually quite fitting
How a person can type this out and also have a Ricky Gervais quote in their signature is beyond me🧐
Why? I just stated it from an objective point of view since the word pun is quite obvious. Cancel culture is ostracism. To ostracize is like removing cancer i.e. removing something dangerous. Now everyone got the album title explained too. It's quite clever actually.

Musically ive been a bit indifferent to these guys since The Negation, after that their switched to a more "americanized" sound and quit the brutal death they did so well until that album. This new song is ok at best.
As for the album title, if you get triggered by an album title then yeah i guess the message lands its purpose.
Some people really waste a lot of energy hating on things.
The album title is fine, the cover is great, and the song is pretty good. I much prefer the groove version of Decapitated anyway.

Some people really waste a lot of energy hating on things.
Some people just jump into conclusions without even reading a single lyric or without having a clue of what an album is about. I will wait until it comes out and have a lyric sheet in front of me. By the way, Vogg said about it: "Don’t misinterpret the title meaning of the album. It has a much broader context."
More on this: As he did with 2011’s Carnival Is Forever, journalist Jarek Szubrycht composed the lyrics and album title for Cancer Culture. “He did lyrics for us for the second time, and those lyrics are amazing,” Vogg says. “He’s not a typical writer. It’s all about what we are doing as people, the current times, how we never seem to learn from our mistakes.”
Szubrycht explains: “These are songs about the disproportion between the dreams, ambitions, and aspirations of humanity - and people as individuals - and the actual human capabilities. About the fact that every power and every triumph are innately bound to fail. And also, how religion is a sophisticated lie that we want to believe so much because we are afraid of nothingness.
“We are so stupid and short-sighted that we destroy everything we touch, including the Earth that gave birth to us and nourishes us,” he continues. He adds that the lyrics “tackle the issues regarding the internet, a great invention (and more broadly - technology), as the space where we mainly pour out frustration, spread superstition and lies, fuel hatred, and feed our low self-esteem. All the social media power trips and anger sprees are not worth shit because we are only a temporary aberration, a micro-error on the cosmic scale. There will be no trace left after in a moment's time. They are lyrics painted with disappointment, pessimism, and a lack of illusion.”

I might have done just that but since it has a much broader context according to Vogg that might as well be one of the meanings of the album title. Usually I'm not that interested in lyrics but of course there are albums where the lyrics make the music better. With this one I will definitely check out the lyrics when it's released.

Exactly. One can at best look at the song titles and speculate. And maybe the album is really about Cancer.. i mean
01. Cancer Culture
03. Just A Cigarette
04. No Cure
05. Hello Death
It's not far fetched.
Anyway, they got the attention, let's see if they deliver.
Since most comments focus on the title and artwork, let me add my two cents too.
Who gives a damn about such inconsequential things as these? The only thing that matters is the music in my opinion.
Also, if anyone is interested, Jarek Szubrycht who wrote lyrics for the album is quite a figure. Apart from being a journalist and writer (he wrote a great Slayer biography), he sings and writes lyrics for Lux Occulta, quite an interesting band. As heard on 2014's "Kołysanki", the band isn't metal anymore, but they used to be. My favourite album is "My Guardian Anger", but I recommend all of them. I'm particularly partial to this song:
Cancer Culture is a solid track. Certain song titles, however, are cringeworthy at best. Like A Cigarette or Hello Death remind me of lousy track titles we usually see on metalcore albums. Anyway, I liked Anticult and Carnival in spite of its more groove than death leanings so I will give this one a listen too. Nothing will beat their debut and two following records though.
