German power metal operatives Brainstorm are pleased to welcome Andreas Armbruster as their new bass player in their ranks. He will replace Antonio Ieva, who parted ways with the band a couple of weeks ago.

Statement from the band: "Hey Brainiacs, after several days and weeks of being a bit quiet around us, we're finally back with heavy news straight from the Brainstormcamp: We are super happy to welcome Andreas Armbruster, as the new man on the bass. Andreas has been able to gain a lot of experience in productions and tours with his band Vanish in recent years. In Brainstorm we will burn down the stages together.

"We received an unbelievable number of applications, we had great talks and sessions, but in the end it was Andreas who enthralled us with his playing and his personality."

Andreas Armbruster adds: "A real dream has come true for me. I've known Brainstorm for many years, know all their albums and have been to countless concerts by the guys. Being able to enter the stages of the world with Andy, Todde, Mille and Dieter still feels surreal. But we have a lot planned together: Festivals, tours and of course a lot of new songs and albums are on the agenda. I'm absolutely thrilled to meet our fans as well.
