Ethereal Shroud - End Short Hiatus
After a very brief hiatus, Ethereal Shroud has returned. Following the attention and success of the 2021 release Trisagion, Ethereal Shroud immediately disbanded. After allowing the dust to settle, band founder Joseph Hawker has new-found realization and inspiration, with hopes of creating a new album. More can be read below.
Statement from Joe Hawker: "I might as well make this official as opposed to teasing - Ethereal Shroud has returned. Trisagion was exhausting - emotionally, physically and in every other way conceivable and I didn't know what that felt like until I went through it. I just felt 'done'. After having some time to wipe the slate clean and refocus, I feel like I have more to say and I know where to take myself artistically.
"Being in a band on your own is scary and it means you're beholden to your own irrational emotions and my emotions then were simply "get the fuck out of this" because of how detrimental it was to my psyche. But I realise how good it has been in the longrun, and it far outweighed the negatives.
"New material won't be 'soon' - I have another record to work on first and I want the next record to be the best it can possibly be. I'm not aiming to top Trisagion - I simply want to create something equally as heartfelt and meaningful. Perhaps the rest will simply fall into place".

So, if someone offers something of a viewpoint at some point but flakes out on the others they could be labeled as a troll but it's too easy to generalise people on here because of views.

I've seen you kill other users before for if you can see outside what they're saying they're likely venting using here as an outlet to do it or help out social skills, but it's like trying and expecting people to change their politics by force it just doesn't work. Not sure if I've said this the best way no offense. And appreciated, it's not easy to come across to talk which has deterred how I see MS now. Just life experiences man, the whole never say never philosophy that I see grounded within the reason behind reunions and need for artists (or labels) to share personal life getting in the way as if it's something exclusive. Capitalism.

By the way, I don't "kill" users myself; the decision for a permanent ban is always a joint staff decision. Metal Storm is not the place to vent, and it especially isn't the place to be disrespectful. There are two simple rules: 1) Be polite to fellow users and 2) Don't be a dick. Anyone not willing to follow these rules is not welcome. We are not here to change anyone, because this is not a behaviour modifying / therapeutic website. But it is a website that we want to be welcoming for people who love (metal) music. And we are giving way too many chances to people that go out of line, compared to what we could or (sometimes) should do. We are also tired of saying the same things over and over, so please let's stop here. In any case, I am pretty sure that Ethereal Shroud did not need such a publicity stunt; the band is not Metallica or another big shot like that.
