Civil War - Reveal New Song & Lyric Video
Before dropping their fourth album Invaders this coming Friday (June 17th), Swedish power metal representatives Civil War present the last advance single and lyric video "Oblivion".
Kelly Sundown Carpenter (vocals) on "Oblivion": "Oblivion" is about the Gaia-like force of nature waking from its long sleep. As it looks out upon the world, it sees what man has done to the Earth and it decides to eradicate mankind by unleashing cataclysmic events."

Written by RaphaelThorne on 15.06.2022 at 19:49 Small update. Just listened the album... Carpenter is great, but music is cheap Sabaton-esque for teens, I was expecting Outworld or Darkology, but this is more like Dream Evil or late Powerwolf. Meh...

I like first three Powerwolf album and Sabaton's "Metalizer", but I dont think Carpenter fits here. He is born to sing ambitious metal, whatever definition is, not trivial power/folk or whatever Civil War is. But...let me know your subjective opinion, lets see if I am wrong.:wall:
