This isn't awful I do kind dig the fast parts, but it very much is like Daniell said, rich old men trying to recapture poor, drunk youth is a bit silly... Dave has never had a good voice at all imo, but my goodness his voice is completely done these days.

hahaaa. You are probably right, though as an almost 50 years old fan (who never would drive a sports car) , I can't avoid feelling, I don't know...nostalgic. I think the main riffs and solos are quite good, but Mustaine's voice has always been the worst part of this band, and of course is not improving as time goes by.

I like the music, but I just never really got into Dave's voice. Megadeth would probably have become much bigger with another singer. I think John Bush would be a great fit here.

Anyway. I like the song, and Dave does a good vocal job, I think. However, I don't understand why they invited Ice-T here. Oh, well... I'll buy the album anyway

Sometimes when I read comments I really wonder... what the hell can these guys even do? They release trash like Super Collider and they get shit on. They release something actually fast and exciting? They get shit on.

Like, they sound way more full of pep than Maiden does if you want an age-similar example. They sound heavy and fast unlike Metallica, who are their direct "competitors". There's a lot going on here musically that quite honestly is surprising that someone as old and fucked up as Dave can still pull this off.

Also yeah, the vocals aren't the best, never have been. It's the Megadeth charm. Dude also had throat cancer, beat it, and is still releasing music like this. That's pretty fucking metal.

Well it seems to be working for Ice-T so far, if the last few Body Count albums are any indication.

In some way there is something into this song, and again Ice T anger make delta force looks like Fools wearing Chuck Norris action panths

100% agree with you here man. People love to complain about stupid shit. This, so far, is promising a great release from Megadeth. Start playing bluegrass or some soft shit that everyone will hate? I mean come on...

Oh my, I've kicked up a tiny poostorm. I didn't say the song was bad, did I? On the contrary, it's pretty fucking rad. The main riff is infectious as hell. It's the production I have a problem with.

The music is nice, but those video clips are so childish (this one and the previous single). This and the lyrics make Dave look like a 12 year old Call of Duty addict. The amount of weapons name dropping while these people shoot each other and blood splashes everywhere makes me cringe so hard.
On the music side though the songs sound good, even if not as good as Dystopia (so far).

Galloping drums and flashing videoclip...not necessary to prove they play metal, cmon.

Yeah this sums up my opinion as well. The music is alright - not yet reaching the heights of Dystopia sadly. I'm generally not a fan of music videos because they almost always end up silly.

You are absolutely correct, sir, as this is not thrash

For being 60 and having survived throat cancer, I was actually surprised at some of the things Dave did with his voice in this. Not a huge Megadeth fan, but I enjoyed the song for the most part. Much more interesting than anything Maiden or Metallica have put out in the last decade.

I think this one's pretty cool. Lacks really memorable riffs and it's borderline overproduced, but I expected way worse. I'm still traumatized by Risk and Super Collider.

The two tracks revealed both slay and if the rest of the album is like this, I will be a very happy man. I don't get why IceT is featured on this track though; he doesn't really bother me, but I don't think he adds anything worthwhile to the song.

Ice T is angry modsduka my dog, that's why he entecegnized Dave to protect him from Elafsson anger.
I think ice t has been some cool cat and my be guest in few other future metal albums.
IMO this was better as Aerosmith did whit Run DMC

His vocals are what they are, or, more precisely, what they have always. I love Megadeth, and the fact that the vocals are the least excellent ingredient of their sound doesn't deter me from enjoying the band immensely.

I was about to thwap you for saying "half a century" and then I realized that it was only a slight exaggeration.

I'm not sure 'bout this... I think that the point of music is to evolve and become more progressive, and reflect some inner bullshirts or something that are also evolving, not remaining static, you know, progressing... and those times, 80s were good, great time for metal, had the best people, really, really good, people were young, some of us not even born, but that was cool, I would go back to the time before I was born... Ok, I'm loosing my train of thoughts a bit. What I wanted to say it that no matter how hard we try we are still stocked in this shirty time, with Billie Eilish singing us to dull boredom of preapocalypse, reminding us that the world ends not with a bang but a whimper.

It's impossible to please anyone these days. Because everyone is a musical genius, a music critic or something.

Do you mean to say that people can't have their own opinions? Having a less favourable opinion doesn't imply that its author thinks of themselves as a musical genius, critic, or something.

After they chucked Ellefson out, Mustaine's solo project has become irrelevant to me. Granted, it's a judgement on a band that was never short of social commentary. It takes guts to keep a musician who's had the saucy details of his personal life made public but ultimately broke no law (he hadn't stormed the Capitol for one thing). They (or rather Mustaine and his band of hired guns) might as well go on to produce stellar stuff, but will always have the air of nodding to the puritan strain of thought in their homeland. Whether strained or not, it was a firing at the most inopportune moment. A shame when a band with a great track record (pun intended) acts like any other commercial endeavour protecting the franchise.
