Dark Tranquillity - Begin Writing Material For Next Studio Album
The Swedish metal masters Dark Tranquillity have confirmed that this year is dedicated to the creation of their thirteenth studio album. The successor to 2020's Moment is currently in the writing phase.
Dark Tranquillity commented: "We have cleared our schedules for 2023. All of our time will be allocated to creating our 13th album. Right now we are writing but it will be finished within the year. We welcome this period of creative anxiety, bottomless pots of coffee and endless nights. 2023 - Let’s go!"

I quite liked Moment, so I'm excited! Very curious where they will take their sound next. Moment was a bit more mellow and closer in sound to Projector than Atoma in my opinion. They could keep going down that path BUT Mikael has recently gone back to his roots a bit with Halo Effect. I wonder if that will influence the next DT record?

Written by legion1349 on 16.01.2023 at 13:45 Matter of taste. As it happens I have been following the band since Projector and every album has added something. Today I tend to listen to their latest material more than the older one that I still enjoy though. They have never disappointed me so far so that I am curious to witness their next step. I am a bit sad to see older members leave but at least they don't keep making music without the needed passion.
