Funeralium - New Music In The Making
It's been a while since we've heard any news from the French funeral doom unit, Funeralium. Now, the quintet shared info that they have hit the studio to work on new music, the successor to 2021's Decrepit album.
Statement from the band as follows: "You probably saw we’ve been silent for a couple of years. Indeed, after the release of Decrepit, we needed to reconsider about the way the band should carry on. As Marquis relocated to Rouen 2 years ago, the band couldn’t rehearse regularly like the way it had been done for 20 years in Paris. Moreover, the band needed to reinvent itself to keep vomiting our own form of extreme doom METAL!
"Thus, Asmael Lebouc, Raev and Marquis decided to get together an entire weekend at ULTRADOOM studio (Marquis' homestudio) in Rouen to work on this. The objective was to test & validate a new sick formula and track a complete new song. This mission was successful!
"So the news is that there will be 3 bass players (Asmael Lebouc, Marquis, CharlesWard) on this next album and bass will be the main instrument. Guitars (Berserk and Marquis) will only be added as extra layers and some gloomy samples performed by Raev will be added. Low ends will rule so stay tuned doomsters!"

This souunds super interesting. Decrepit was a fucking monster and so are their other albums. So I know for sure the quality will be there. Can't wait to hear this new sound!
