Onslaught guitarist and original member Nige Rockett has revealed that he is ready to return to the live stage. The guitarist previously took three years off while undergoing cancer treatment.

Rockett’s first show back will take place aboard the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise. This news follows various cancer removal surgeries, chemotherapy, and spinal operations. He also confirmed that he is currently in remission and focusing on recovery.

Rockett commented: “It’s been a kinda brutal time over the past few years but it’s great to finally be back, I’m not 100% by any means and its gonna take a fair while to get the fitness back but this will help massively for sure. Sadly no more head banging for me, the surgeons have told me that it was the likely cause of one of the original injuries and that i must behave in the future or risk a recurrence! See you in the Pit!”

In addition to the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise, the band are also planning to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Power From Hell by performing the album in full on a spring tour with Cryptosis.
