Savage Lands - Upcoming Album Streaming In Its Entirety
Savage Lands - the non-profit conservation-focused musical project created by Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren and Sylvain Demercastel (of Artsonic) - in collaboration with Season of Mist, is streaming their album Army Of The Trees ahead of its official release this Friday, February 14th. You can listen to it below.
The album's royalties will be donated to forest preservation efforts in Costa Rica, Africa, and France.
The album features collaborations with notable artists such as Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura), John Tardy and Kenny Andrews (Obituary), Julian Truchan (Benighted), and more.
Additionally, earlier this week Savage Lands also released an official music video for the track "Ruling Queen," which features Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz and Obituary guitarist Kenneth Andrews. The video was shot on location in the Costa Rican jungle during the country's rainy season.
Produced, mixed and mastered by Adair Daufembach.
White-Gluz commented: “Art and activism converge in a space of meaning, and that is where I choose to stand. Metalheads have always been powerful and passionate people in my eyes. I hold deep gratitude for Savage Lands and their relentless work in safeguarding the fragile beauty of Costa Rica’s ecosystem.”
Andrews added: “It has been my pleasure and honor to be part of this unbelievable project. Let’s do our part!”
Verbeuren continued: “Obviously, it’s great when Savage Lands receives support from a huge star like Alissa, but that she also buys into the philosophy behind our organization makes it even better.”
