Madder Mortem - Former Bassist Died
Pål Mozart Bjørke, the musician who played bass in Norwegian gothic metal act Madder Mortem in years between 2002 and 2003, has passed away. He contributed his share on the band's first two albums, All Flesh Is Grass and Deadlands.
Statement from the band: "One of the Madder family has left the rush of time. We are deeply saddened and shocked by the news of the passing and tragic loss of our beloved friend, co-musician and formative member of Madder Mortem, Paul Mozart Bjørke. He was such a huge part of our lives, both personally and for the band - truly a one-of-a-kind person and musician. He was kind and friendly, and curious about and interested in everyone he met. Always making people around him feel comfortable and filled with laughter, he was impossible not to like. His enormous talent, absurd jokes, clever mind and big heart will leave a massive void behind him. Our hearts and deepest condolences goes out to his lovely family in this hardest of times."
