Wasn't exactly bad, but as has been the case with them for a long while now, it's pretty bland and boring.

Their guitar leads keep getting better with every album

My god, one of the bands that got me into metal, and I swear I have PTSD with Katatonia nowadays, every single release im like "lets see how bland and boring it is this time". And in that regard they never fail to disappoint me. At least, one of my other all time bands (Opeth), tried something new - which I hate as well, but at least I respect them for trying.

Katatonia just gets on my nerves for how repetitive, bland, boring, uninspired it has been for years. The last album I really liked was Dead End Kings

I think it's pretty much in the same vein as the last 3 albums.Repetitive ? Yes. Boring? No, it's good, I do think Katatonia requieres lots of spins to fully grasp, people just don't listen to It enough times.

Just like the previous single: very safe, boring, uninspired. The only thing that kind of makes it interesting is the lead guitar, but still. Just lay the band to rest guys, do some other project.
