Ostrogoth - Introduce New Bass Player
This year, heavy metal act Ostrogoth is celebrating 40 years of existence. Regarding this occasion, this past weekend, the band performed at the Heavy Sound Festival (first show of 'Too Hot 40th Anniversary Tour'), where the band founder Marnix 'Bronco' Van De Kauter played his last live show. Consequently, the Belgians confirmed Emile Marcelis as their new bass player.
Statement from the band: "With immense pride and the full backing of Bronco we are also extremely excited to introduce to you our brand new bass player. All the way from Waalwijk in the Netherlands, this man goes by the name of Emile Marcelis and is no stranger to the EU music industry.
"In past and present Emile has toured with a.o. Dutch hard rock icons Vengeance (with AC/DC's Chris Slade), David Readman, Savatar and Saïnt Helens (with members of a.o. Ayreon, Helloïse).
"The lucky ones amongst you have already witnessed his stage debut with us on Friday - from here on Emile will be joining us on the road full time, kicking off with the European 'Too Hot 40th Anniversary' tour next October and into a surprise-packed 2026."
