Excellent album. The extremity of songs such as 'Paegan love song', 'Diab Soulé' and '13 fingers' are very welcome but I think this album reaches its peak with songs as melancholy as 'Old skin' or the beautifully sludgy 'New death sensation', and the vocals themselves stay varied throughout. As with the band's debut album the lyrical content is useful in understanding the tones and meanings of each and every song. I personally think this album s just as good as the band's debut, but that's just me.

Not as intense as their debut, but still good with many good melancholic ballads.

My favorite songs here are "Bleed Me An Ocean", "Graveflower", "Diab Soule" ("well the skyscrapers look like gravestones from out here!" ) and "New Death Sensation"

Venus Blue too man. Probably one of my favorite "love" songs ever. There is so much frustration pouring out of that chorus:

I remember blood from the thighs of the mother
As everything is eaten by another
Hooooooooooow much more must we bleed her?
IIIIIIIIII cut their throats while they slumber
IIIIIII peeeeeeeeel back my skull for you
Yes I do...

edit: This was my 18K post. Nice.

I've been listening to too much Satanic black metal apparently, because, for the longest time, I thought he was singing "I kiss the goat with 13 fingers" instead of "I kiss the girl with 13 fingers" lol
