Didn't see a stoner suggestions thread, so I figured I'd start one. I posted topic links to five stoner related bands. Any suggested are Colour Haze

I don't know many pure Stoner bands. The most I listen to are stoner/sludge or stoner/doom, but here goes : Beastwars : Bongzilla : Goatsnake : YOB : Eagle Twin : Samothrace : Apologies if none of them are what you're looking for.

04.02.2012 - 02:25 Written by Nosurper on 04.02.2012 at 02:20 Yeah they're all great. I am more into sludge than anything but many of the bands have stoner elements in it. Also, thanks for that Colour Haze tune. Brilliant song.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but UFOMAMMUT is surely worth it! Youtube clip: http://youtu.be/zy0zkIh45d8 They have 2 new albums announced this year. "Oro - Opus Primum" and "Oro - Opus Altar", which are highly anticipated!

Bongripper - Reefer Sutherland (couldn't find a full version of Worship) Electric Wizard - Tutti I Colori Del Buio (couldn't find a full version of this, but it needs to be heard) Samsara Blues Experiment - Double Freedom (holy shit! full version!) Melvins - Hung Bunny (plus Roman Bird Dog, 'cause "why not?") Warchief - For Heavy Damage (unfortunately, this is in two parts, but at least they're both available) (and here's their bandcamp where you can download it for free)http://warchief.bandcamp.com/ Enth - Godzina Której Nie Ma (I think the first song is better, but the 'Tube only has the first 10 minutes of it) Mares of Thrace - Opportunist (these guys [gals] were featured on the 'Storm a while back, so you should be able to find some info)

As i see colour haze and samsara blues experiment was mentioned. Rotor is another great german stoner band. try the album 4. Colour haze sure is the best one of those. Their sound reminds me of space cadet by kyuss.

I haven't listened to a great deal of stoner but this track is a favourite, from an Ep by Aussie band 'Shellfin'.

I've been playing Mother Mars quite a bit lately. Their entire album is streaming at that link. It starts out as generic stoner rock, but midway through the first track they starting droning a bit and it gets awesome. Track 6 reminds me of No Quarter by Led Zeppelin.

This new EP from 'Cerber' is pretty solid, a mix of stoner/sludge and hardcore. And best of all it's free!: http://cerber.bandcamp.com/
