Simple poll. This is a metal genre so loved and hated... Some call it "Love Metal", others "Gothic Rock", here is "Suomi Metal", though not every band is Finnish.
I love this genre, between Black and Death metal I listen to it, singing and relaxing myself.

Firts Senteced isnt suomi metal band, but it was death/doom metal in begining, leither its Gothic metal/rock and my vote goes for them, becaus eI dont like other bands of list

If I like Gothic Rock, then from Central Europa countries etliets not freezed emotions, try Cz band Greedy Invalide (I can see I can see I can see tears in your eyes) try song ''Sarcastic''

I voted for HIM! I've loved HIM for a long time, so no band can beat them! But I like all the band in this genre.

Among the bands I know I choosed Entwine, I really like their style

I voted for Sentenced; they are my favourite band. I love their lyrics and the structure of melody they make. About their stile is hard to say: in the payt they were definitly death metal, but their newer albums is hard to say which style they've made.

My vote goes to Sentenced. They managed to do great music for many years. Even their last album was extremely good. It's sad they quit, but at least they quit when they were still on the top. HIM comes right after Sentenced. Their music is very enjoyable no matter what we call the genre of it... Only the new versions of the songs on their recently published "Uneasy Listening vol. 1" album are horrible.

Sentenced were greate, it's sad that they don't do what they're good at anymore...and my vote will go to them..

Sentenced, no doubt, full of emotion and catchy tunes, cant go wrong..

If you are laughing because Suomi metal is strange term than I would agree with you!

I voted for HIM because I used to love it. HIM will always be special for me.

I vote for To/Die/For. They're not as good as Sentenced, but I like their music (quite simple reason )

Sentenced of course Although i really enjoy listening to bands like To/Die/For, Charon and Entwine. But you really must give to Sentenced what they have deserved

I vote to Sentence, but for that band I only listen to the song "Blood and Tear" and not sure if its gothic or suomi. By the way, HIM, before I dont like them because they are not metal but when reading their lyrics, its also very "rebellious": suicide, death, crime supportance etc, I tend to like them. Entwine, just only listened to one song, MA says they are gothic, not sure again but I myself find it nearly to suomi, a own genre of Finland. Same to Charon, As for To/die/For/ and others I 've never listened to

I voted for Sentenced too , but it is really hard to choose between these bands as they are all good.

I almost voted for HIM as they were the first Finnish band I ever listened to , but overall I think Sentencecd deserve the vote.

Definitely Sentenced. Other bands are quite good also, but Sentenced still remains my favourite. I really loved Sentenced's whole career from their earlier death metal days to the more depressive-gothic rock/metal (or Suomi metal). I really liked Taneli Jarva's vocals, but Ville Laihiala's vocals really suited the bands later music style. The Funeral Album wasn't as good as some of their other albums. It was quite weak in fact, but still was a good album nonetheless. Frozen, Down and particularly Amok (of their earlier stuff) were really great albums and The Cold White Light was a top album also.

HIM. Well, I've been a fan for 5 years now, GLV66 and RR are amazing albums to me, they've come back with a vital Dark Light a year ago showing that they are capable more than Love Metal was about, and even though DS&BH was more pop than rock, it was still a relly solid album. Those guys (or should I better say guy) really know how to make music, even more, they know how to make good music and somehow they manage to charm me over and over again with the pretty much drained-ou idea of love by giving it a 1000 and 1 shapes.... The romanticism, sadness, despair and bliss, the extraordinance and the shades.... It's what HIM have, it's what they give to me. It's why I love them.

I would however give 2nd place to Entwine, 3rd to Poisonblack and 4th to Charon, I don't really know the other bands because what I heard by them didn't impress me so I distanced myself to hearing some more.

Ive voted for Sentenced, HIM is good tho. But IMO HIM keeps on repeating the same things over and over again.

For me it is HIM, I really love the lyrics, and it used to be one of my favorite bands, now I don't listen to them as much I as did before, but still mean a lot to me.
