Why in the world do I love this band? They have one of the most ridiculous sounding band names in the history of metal music, the members are all old enough to be my children and their resonance isn't quite the typical form of post/sludge metal music that I am used to. But wow, they got me in the palms of their hands.

I am surprised no one else digs this. "Black Eyed" is the record label's attempt to get this band into the mainstream but the rest of the album is pure, uninhibited atmospheric sludge/post metal.

Based on a few listens it sounds good. It's not entirely focused on being atmospheric I'd say, some very driven tracks in it which keeps it interesting.

I may be a fanboy but after listening to this a few more times over the weekend it's as good as their previous. I love it. You are right too, some of the songs really have some terrific, balls out riffage.

Was the previous one similar or have they tried something new here? Loads of punchy tracks with some more atmospheric ones, a nice balance I'd say.

Previous one is a carbon copy of this. I guess that can be viewed good or bad. For me, good. The band is pretty new and if a formula works, stick with it!

Hmm, I might need to check this album out. Just saw them live at Graspop. The name sounded a bit funny so I did not expect anything from the gig, but it turned out to be one of the positive surprises of the festival.

Contender for my AOTY. My favorite track is "Slumber"

What a pleasant surprise. Currently listening to Rust. Instant like. Sound reminds me of Isis' Oceanic so far.
