Hah partially I must agree. I am generally a prog fan and this band is good but a bit overhyped. There is nothing 'omg so fucking amazing' about it. Just another good extreme prog band.

I look forward to seeing what direction they take now. I for one believe that the last album was deserving of at least most of the praise it was given, but I do think it hinted at a few unexplored possibilities as well. There were places where the drumming could have been a bit more creatively blended, for example. Mainly I just hope NeO continues to explore and doesn't fall into the trap of trying to meet people's expectations. Too much potential there to get wrapped up in what everyone else wants.

I am really excited for this. I am not really into prog metal but i think portal of i is a perfect album. I am sure it will be another great album

Yes!!! Cant wait! Such an underrated band! There first was such a masterpiece!

Usually, everything that is good and appreciated has some people that label them 'overrated'. The same goes for the 'underrated' albums. I guess that there are people who just can't experience pure quality metal (not necessarily prog metal) even when it is in front of them. I loved the previous album and I do hope they keep up the good shit, quality wise. Usually, something that has a high rating as the result of many votes is not something surprising or weird. It means it presents itself with some quality stuff if not for all people, then at least for a niche of people that is capable of appreciating it.

I wouldn't call the band "overrrated", but I would say they garner far more attention and praise than they deserve

But seriously, even with da hypes I'm kinda looking forward for this. The last one wasn't exactly thaat good, but made me interested enough to see what they come up with in the future

Ne Obliviscaris and Wintersun, the two bands you can always count on being trolled by comments about overrated-ness before anyone has even said something positive about the music.

Absolutely can't wait.
