Blindead - Bassist Matteo Bassoli Quits

Blindead is facing another line-up change. Polish post-metallers recently announced and confirmed the departure of bassist Matteo Bassoli, who has been part of the group for the last four years and couple of months. Matteo performed on the band's last two full-length albums, Absence from 2013 and this year's Ascension.

They posted a statement via their official Facebook page: "Dear fans, the time has come for another change in our line up. Matteo Bassoli, decided to move on to different musical adventures and will concentrate more on Highwave Studio. His friendship, input and dedication to our band was huge and we are eternally greatful for that. We will play our final performance together on 27th December during X-Mass Noize Night XI in our hometown, Gdynia. From now on we're becoming a five-piece for some time. Michał Zybert will join us as a session bass player for the live performances next year."

Don't blame him, he's abandoning a sinking ship.

Bullshit

Ascension is pretty enjoyable.

Blindead is one of my favourite underground bands and not a sinking ship! The new vocalist just needs to be trained up a bit, develop more confidence and perhaps improve on singing in English (phrasing and lyrical delivery). The rest of the band is still strong as ever.
