Obsidious - Ex-Obscura Members Sign To Season Of Mist, Present Single
Obsidious, international tech death metal unit feat. ex-Obscura members and vocalist Javi Perera, have signed new deal with Season Of Mist. The four-piece, formed in the beginning of 2020, now proudly present their first official single called "Iconic". The latter is taken from the band's upcoming debut album, which will be released early 2022.
Obsidious comments: "We are beyond excited to finally share our first song "Iconic", with the world! This release is the true beginning of our journey as Obsidious that started 14 months ago. As the first-ever song we wrote with Obsidious, "Iconic" is all about our mission to push the boundaries of metal music while showcasing all the different aspects and nuances representing us as a group. We pour our hearts and minds into this band to leave our mark with the wonderful global modern metal community."
Season of Mist CEO Michael Berberian comments on the signing: "As a long life long Obscura fan, it was obsious that I had to sign Obsidious, a band that is fresh and not obsolete, and I will observe how things will progress, without any of the 2020 touring obstruction and fingers crossed no new obscene new disease."

Sounds good. Not so sure 'bout the clean vocals, but I'd definitely want to hear more....

I'd welcome the clean vocals but if there was a little more power to them (actually it might be just the mixing, the performance is pretty awesome), but the music isn't very intriguing for me. Sounds like Obscura but without much of a direction. A lot of nice ideas just slammed next to each other. Composition itself is weak compared to what they are mimicing. On the other hand, it's pretty entertaining seeing all the Obscura spinoff bands over the years.
