I like CoF's early stuff but out of the two I prefer Dimmu, I just like their sound better.

Thats a fairly interesting point, personally I quite like some of Gorgoroth's stuff, mainly their early stuff. However, I can see what your saying for sure I do think the whole satanic thing has been commercialized by them (Gorgoroth).

Anyways, back to thread, I prefer Dimmu's new stuff over CoF's new stuff. I enjoyed DCA and even the remastered Stormblast, while In Sorte Diaboli was ok. CoF lost it after Midian was released.

I don't understand what you mean by "they lost it". Can't a band just evolve? The way I see it, CoF began as a death band that soon turned into some kinda symphonic BM band that evolve into a more accessible extreme metal band... Though I agree Nymphetamine and Thornography are not good albums compared to Dusk or Cruelty and the Beast, they are still better than modern Metallica or In Flames, IMO. But people can't accept it when bands change their style, anyway. If CoF had only made albums like The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, I wouldn't like them that much...

Disagree, The Principle of Evil Made Flesh was by far my favorite album. If they stayed with that sound, I may still enjoy them as I did, though DaHE and Cruelty were brilliant albums. I also agree that yes, bands can evolve to new sounds, but everyone is entitled to their opinion as to if this was a good change or not, which I personally think it wasn't though I can be told otherwise. The reason why I enjoyed them so much was because they had the music of Black, but lyrics that can be linked to Death bands. Now yes, I would say CoF has done better than modern Metallica, but I'd rather listen to modern In Flames (Gothenburg gets to me), even though they haven't done any better ever since after RtR.

Emperor has two albums I think are good, others are bleh.
Immortal is way overrated, Sons of Northern Darkness was such a bland and embarrassing CD
Dark Funeral sucks, period.

Carpathian Forest is kvlt shit. Viking Metal somewhat derives from Black Metal, if you did not know that. As I agree Satyricon's recent CD is astoundingly atrocious, their previous CDs are good shit.

You apparently like the overrated Black Metal. You apparently can't name such as Bishop of Hexen, Dark Fortress, Triumphator, Leviathan, Xasthur, Drudkh, Poccolus, Trayjen, Ravencult, and many others.

Dimmu Borgir's early stuff is better than Cradle's early stuff. Dusk And Her Embrace isn't all that bad, but it doesn't compare to the original Stormblåst or For All Tid (which were actually quality records). Enthrone Darkness is also an alright record. The later parts of either band's careers is something I choose not to even care about. I really don't care what kind of shit smells the worst. I'm not gonna go looking through dog shit just to see if it's in any way better than AIDS infected diarrhea.

Dimmu Borgir. I like Stormblåst and For All Tid best. I kinda like the newer stuff also - but in a different way. Cradle of Filth has never appealed to me.. It's too predictable. You know what you get.. no surprises :-p That's my opinion.
