Full album premiere!

Another great album. Really claustrophobic style production, but not super muddy or lo-fi. The highlight is definitely the guitarwork, this album has some great lead guitar (much like the previous album). The drums get a little grating near the end with their very forceful blasting, but luckily the album doesn't drag on too long.

Good ideas as always with this band, but the production is killing it for me. I understand the Kvlt-ness of raw-sounding BM, but it's not 1991 anymore. I'd prefer a more polished version.

Think I’m more of a Kanonenfieber guy. They do the whole WWI black metal thing a bit better.

This is certainly a great band, one of the best war themed black metal bands around, unfortunately though I don't really find this one to be all that impressive, but I do admire the atmospheric side behind it, there's a disturbing and dense feel to it, like your trapped in a trench behind enemy lines, with the enemy fire down on you, but it just gets too much at times. I would have liked them to mix things up a wee bit, some tracks do get monotonous and tedious.

Bumped this up to a 9. In my running for AOTY. Something so sinister about the sound. Really captures the essence of a World War.
