Garden of Shadows' "Oracle Moon" is an exceptional album, with it's own unique style that hooks the listener in a flash. They mix different elements of melodic death metal and progressive metal to create an epic atmosphere full of mystical, yet brutal sounds. This album can only be described as epic, with six of the seven songs over eight minutes in length. Inside these eight minutes however, is a whole new world of brilliance. From crunching riffs and catchy melodies to brutal power; Oracle Moon just has it all.

Woah, fantastic stuff.

Killer riffs and pretty rad vocals. Will be listening to this on my way to office.

This is a brilliant album and for a melo-death metal, one of the best I've heard.

This is a fantastic album, and so overlooked. The melodies are incredible, with epic riffs that just flow one after the other, and the bass and drumming have a great rhythm throughout. The guitar work reminds me of The Gallery suite alot at times. The synths are also a great touch as they add an epic atmospheric backdrop to the whole album, making it way more than just a melodeath album, imo it's close to the style of Shylmagoghnar's Emergence. The vocals sound a wee bit brutal for this kind of style at first, but I got used to them, they aren't anything to really complain about anyway.

I can definitely see myself revisiting this epic masterpiece very often, what a damn shame they've only released this one album

I'm glad that I happened to come across this album on someone's random list. This is an awesome hidden gem! Everything you could want out of MeloDeath with synths adding to the vibe. I love the guitar work on "Citadel of Dreams" in particular.
