Always glad to speak with a musician who is just totally humble and chill. Mallika hasn't let any of this go to her head at all.

One of the few female-fronted extreme metal bands where you can't tell it's a woman handling vocal duties. Usually you can hear it in their pitch but Mallika can reach some deep guttural lows. The rest of the album flows about as well as expected, pretty standard brutal tech-death, but the production is awful. I'm not sure if it was by design but that smothering style really doesn't work for the sound here. It removes a lot of the edge and blankets the guitars for the majority of the album, with the exception of the spike riffs.

Personally for me this one was pretty damn hard to rate & at least partly comprehend. It's extremely fast & rather technical. 33 minutes length is just enough because it's packed with "sonic information". It has it's replay value. My dilemma was whether i give it 7 or 8 rating. For now it's 7 or 'good'. While it's superb at times, it has it's flaws. While I am not the biggest fan of how it sounds as a whole, I enjoy most of the pieces of the sonic jigsaw if I mentally try to separate them from the whole. Sadly at times it is incomprehensible and quite hard to decipher complex arrangements especially when she is singing. I am no expert, however I think mixing process is to blame. That's just my opinion. I am glad I bought it. I bet it'll grow on me especially after I give it a go on my headphones. Potential 8/10.
