Children of Bodom - The Trooper (Iron Maiden cover / Melodic Death Metal)

are you sure children of bodom covered the trooper, cos on their web site it says Children of Bodom NEVER recorded Iron Maiden's the Trooper

Theres alot of speculation over that cover and from what I heard another band covered it and when it didnt take it of they just uploaded under Children Of Bodom and suddenly it was huge.There is also The final Countdown that is apperntly covered by them.
They have defiantly Covered Britney Spears though.

I've just listened one song from Faith No More, it's called "From Out Of Nowhere". Raunchy made a cover of that song, and i think that they did a good job (the cover song is quite catchy).

according to me The Trooper by CoB loosed everything what i liked on Iron Maiden original...

Cannibal corpse - no remorse & zero the hero. And no it's not Cob who covered the trooper, someone just absent mindedly typed it in insted of norther when he uploaded it into a p2p program, and the falsely named copy has spread to most computers.

CoB NEVER covered The Trooper. It was in fact Sentenced during their melodeath era.

Has anyone heard of Northern Kings? It's a project featuring Tony Kakko of Sonata Arctica, Marco Hietala of Nightwish/Tarot, J Ahola of Teräsbetoni and JP Leppäluoto of Charon. They have a covers album of 80's pop songs out at the end of October, and it sounds rather promising:

Finally found this guy, my friend told me about him and I just couldn't remember his name. He's like the opposite of Ten Masked Man, while he uses the bluesy, lounge singer approach to cover songs like "Rape Me" or "People Equal Shit" lol which is the best even though I don't care for Slipknot and TMM do Death Metal covers of songs like "Play That Funky Music" & "I'm Blue" both priceless IMO.

Blind Guardian has some really good covers like Mr Sadmen, Barbara Ann, Surfin' USA, and Spread Your Wings.
