Metallica. Exodus. Slayer. Defiance... Wait, who? Well, you could say Defiance is one of a lot of thrash bands who formed in the 80's, and for one reason or another, never really got that much recognition. Void Terra Firma is their 1990 release and is overshadowed by many of the greater thrash releases; and hey, it's not Rust in Peace or Seasons in the Abyss. But it is a fairly solid release.

Great thrash, but Mr.Esquivel sounds like Chuck Billy who has drunk three bottles of whisky :O I don't have problems with this issue, but most of the people kick this album around just because Esquivel doesn't sound so great, but he improved a lot in Beyond Recognition

Wow, this is exactly what I needed to hear/listen right now. Perfect amount of aggression with some awesome guitar solos and the drummer is totally owning on this record. Awesome record
