... their best i think.

I agree
In my opinion - this is the best German thrash album, better than 'Agent Orange', 'Coma of Souls' and 'Persecution Mania'.

I would like to slid "Release From Agony" near to "Eternal Devastation" to be honest. For me, both are incredible albums with no biased of differences between these records whatsoever. "RFA" had some trouble with some metal fans out here regarding obsolete quality sound, but It was one hell of massive rage Teutonic thrash record which brought me into this band. I always had a great time listening to "Release From Agony".

"Release From Agony" is really high class
The advantage of "Eternal Devastation" is that was recorded with just one guitarist and (mainly for this reason) the record sounds monolithic and immediate.

Lethal thrash metal with original riffs. A classic no doubt.

More proof that Destruction's first three albums are some of the best in the thrash metal genre. "United by hatred" is damn extreme.

Comparing these guys to Kreator and Sodom is an insult, very weak band in comparison to the 2. Forgettable razor thin production that makes this sound as if it is on life support. Schmeir sings "curse the gods" in the weakest possible voice that even the gods themselves will be embarrassed for him.

You are not metal enough until you visit Kenya. The cradle of mankind, where man learnt first to work with stones and first enjoyed the sounds produced by banging stones which later influenced metal in all its sounds and genres.

It definitely does -- I have always slightly preferred their debut album though, but that is marginal, they are both classics.

Good Metallica Kill em All musical direction with some standout riffs and guitars. I don't get the 6+ minute song lengths that lead to lots of repetition. I kind of get the vocals, but c'mon man, Schmier can do better than this. I agree about the comments on guitar sound, I could record and produce better sound in my sauna.

Exactly, that excessive of thrash-wankery killed me too. Probably, one of the weakest in top 3 albums of Destruction. Since "Eternal Devastation", it went into drain and never get back into the power.

I agree with all that's been said, the songs for me are needlessly long and repetitive, but the thing that puts me off most is the guitar tone though, which kinda irritates me tbh. Shame really.

You've changed your tune since 2012 then.

This is a classic album. Destruction's high water mark. 'Life Without Sense' is one of the best thrash songs of all time.

I don't know what you're talking about since 2012 then. Not that my taste in modern thrash metal carry any relevance comparing Destruction's first three releases, if you wanted take into the reference.

Also, I genuinely didn't find a single release appealing that can compared to first three albums.
