There aren't many bands who bridge the Black metal/Death metal divide as well as Necrophobic, and this is a fine example as it showcases both elements really well.

Personally I think this one displays more DM elements than BM. I can clearly hear the Entombed down tuned guitars influence on this, whereas it wasn't as obvious to me on The Nocturnal Silence which sounds more BM.

For me it's a classic Necrophobic album. My only minor gripe is that the drums are slightly weak and slightly too high in the mix at times.
