Incantation's second full-length album, with the good old Pillar making those low (and I mean LOW as hell) growls, a great cover and splendid music, Mortal Throne Of Nazarene is an album that people barely talks about due to different reasons, but now it's time for us to check this album essence, so I will do my best to catch the actual meaning of Mortal Throne?

Incredibley dark and evil, IMO this is Incantation's best.

I don't know if it is quite their best, but it is definitely underrated. If you haven't heard it, check out Upon the Throne of the Apocalypse-it is basically the same album, but with the track listing backwards and a little different sounds. I actually like that version better.
Too bad 90% of Incantation discussion is centered around Onward to Golgotha and Diabolical Conquest, as they've released some other badass albums.

Absolutely incredible. One of the best death metal albums I've heard. It's just such a mass of impending all-consuming blackness. I like it a lot more than the alternate Upon the Throne of Apocalypse which to me sounds too drum-city for my taste. The production here is not perfect, but I think it fits the music.

Onward To Golgotha is essential but this album is an excellent piece of Death Metal barbarity too. Memorable riffs and Craig Pillard are the key to success.

Agree with comments re. Craig Pillard - those deep cavernous growls are spooky as fuck. 'The Ibex Moon' is a masterclass in old school doomy death metal.

Absolutely the better version of this album, how can you not start with Demonic Incarnate and end with Abolishment of Immaculate Serenity? I like the more atmospheric and raw production compared to Upon the Throne, too.
