And I adore all three releases. All three of them are so unique and so diverse. The common aspect is probably the technicality that surrounds all three albums. I can never pick a favourite album if I was asked to, but I hold UP a tad higher in technicality than the other two, and I slightly fancy PoT, because it was the first Atheist album I heard.
So recent news is that they have re-united, which is a good thing. I hope they don't release an album actually, because even Atheist can't touch the legendary three albums
. Of course, if they do release another mindnumber like the others, it would indeed be nice 
....Your thoughts?

Seen them live at Wacken...as musicians they are beyond words...Great performance You can check some live videos on youtube.com etc. (already found Mother Man, On They Slay and Piece Of Time  )

I've seen both their 'Unquestionable Presence' and 'Elements' album at Sam Goody's and I was wondering, is any of the extra stuff on there any good? I mean, I know the albums are brilliant but that store is rather overpriced. Any heard the material on the re-release?

I liked the bonus stuff quite a bit. There's some nice drum and bass bonus tracks on Unquestionably Presence, but it's been a while since I've listened to Elements so I don't remember how good the bonus tracks are on that album.

Atheist are an awsome old school death metal band and are sorta technical, but they make some great songs and great riffs, i was going to get Piece Of Time by them but someone got it bfore i did, so i downloaded it and listened to it all, and it is a really really good CD, and i recommend it to anyone that likes true Death Metal.

Atheist is one of my favorite florida death/thrash metal bands. Every album they've put out is fuckin' amazing. I really wish I could see this band live. In my opinion Atheist is better than Cynic. But Cynic is still great.

At last I've listened to some Atheist's material!! I kept reading "If you like Cynic you've got to check them out!" and I couldn't find any album anywhere  But now I have "Elements" and I love it  Still got to look for "Piece of time" and "Unquestionable presence" but so far the band is as good as I expected

Didnt the guitarist used to play left handed with a right handed guitar inverted? If so, thats pretty crazy, only other guitarist Ive heard that does that is Jimi Hendrix.
