For me its like a thrash metal album, specially when it goes to Kirk Hammet's solo's. Its not like 80's Thrash albums and all of us know it for sure, But I cant say it is a Death Metal or Glam! nor Doom or Heavy and doesnt need to think about Black Metal too! For me, this album "Based On Thrash Metal", then its enough for me to call it a Thrash Metal album.

For some reason I think that originally was named ".... a Thrash Album" not "... a Thrashy Album." That changes a lot... However the question is the right one. I am not sure to be frank, but I tend to think that more Heavy Metal than Thrash.

Thrashy Album" (just look at the question right above the poll) someone has changed the topic title it seems. And although this album has thrashy moment it still isn't a thrashy album in my books.

It can't be solely a thrash metal album. So I would say Death Magnetic is a recipe incorporating 45% thrash combined with 55% heavy metal to create a hell of an unscintillating opus.But what you should've trully asked for is whether or not Death Magnetic is worth picking-up? It doesn't really matter if it's a thrash or a thrashy album, the important is it's weighty enough to be called the ninth Metallica album and it's ,strongly and inevitably, positively affecting the metal scene  .

Nah, not pure and raw Thrash metal, but it has something well "thrashy" on its sound, but still the album is more Heavy Metal oriented. Well, in my opinion it is good to know that maybe they will think of something more "thrashier" in the future.

IMO this is nor heavy nor thrash. it has elemnts from those two styles (most from heavy) and it is somewhere between those two. 2) if on YOUR POLL you say: "fuck off this is thrash and i don't care about what other people say" then why why why you created it????
