Death Bands in genertal are rather unimportant I guess... I wondered
that no one chose Dying Fetus in this poll... I like them very much but
obviuosly they are unknown to a certain point.

@Tydirium- Dying Fetus is pretty well-known, for a death metal band. They are one of my favorite bands, but I like Behemoth and Benighted better, so I voted other.

Latley Malevolent Creation has became my personal fav.,Brett Hoffman has some of the best brutal vocals of all time.Alex Marquez's drumming on "Retribution" and "Stillborn" kicks ass,he's fast as it gets.The riffs and drum work are excellent on "Stillborn",but my only complaint was Brett sounded like he was hungover,and the production of the vocals are all muffled.

@Tydirium- Dying Fetus is very well-known. They are one of my favorite bands, but I like Behemoth and Benighted better, so I voted other.

In Germany they are rather unknown... I guessed that they are unknown in general because NOone voted for them!

Yeh, I somehow forgot Suffocation, Atheist, Pestilence, and Necrophagist adn they are four of my favorite bands, but then again this isn't the best technical death metal band thread...

Uhmm.....im not into Death, i mean i heard a couple of bands but im not a huge fan, but reaally like a lot Obituary and Morbid Angel its a hard decition but i go with Obituary cuz i saw them twice and is fucking hell ! but Morbid Angel kick ass too

I voted for Dying Fetus but im the only one but their my favorite band and are awsome and i believe are very underrated.

I'll have to go wirth Death. Chuck was a great musician and his vocals were so damn tortured yet understable...I think that's important... idon't like death metal singers who are so fuckin' low that you can't understand a shit what they say...

Well,Death is one of my favorite metal bands of all time,if not my favorite,so that's enough for me to vote them...All the other bands on the list are great too.

Dying Fetus are a little overrated, but I do enjoy them. I believe that the reason that they have only one vote is because the other bands on the list gave a lot more to death metal. Cannibal Corpse are way overrated and I hardly ever listen to them anymore.

Dude, I disagree. Dying Fetus is in no way overrated. The level of musicianship on most of their albums is incredible. The only other death metal bands that play together as well as Dying Fetus do is Death and Deicide and maybe some others. Plus, I don't really consider any death metal band's fanbase to be big enough to call them overrated, with exception to Cannibal Corpse.

Now that you put it in a different perspective I am starting to agree with you and your right about the fanbase not being big enough to be overrated. Btw, do you know when the new Dying Fetus stuff is supposed to be coming out? I'd look for the info but at the moment I'm feeling pretty tired and lazy

Pestilence, Death, Dismember, Vader and Atheist are my fauvorites.

Death is my alltime favorite from this genre, though every single band in the list are really good too (+the many many bands that were forgotten).

Nile takes my vote, althought i really enjoy Morbid Andel.

Dude. Nile not on the list in a million years? Nile gave a lot more to the genre than Autopsy. I know that CC should probably have been cut out, but the fact is that some people enjoy them. Atheist, Suffocation and Pestilence should be in the list though. Nile, in my opinion is better than Autopsy, and according to this poll, more people like Nile. The whole Egyptian theme is awesome and lyrice are way better than Autopsy's gore lyrics. No need to get mad. It's just a difference of opinion.

Dying Fetus owns Possessed anyways...pretty much in every aspect. The vocals are monstrous and the guitars and drums are more technical than Possessed. There aren't many bands that play together as well Dying Fetus. Possessed sure doesn't. I like Possessed, but I don't think they should be on the list.
