For the poll I picked who I thought would be the more popular choices, I'm sure we'll get alot of "others" though.
Anyways, this was a hard one for me. Black Metal vocals are probably my favorite type of vocals in all it's different styles...but overall my favorite is probably Nocturno Culto. Absolutely countless vocalists have modeled themselves ater him and for good reason. He's the spokesboy of BM vocals and has a truly chilling sound to his voice. Attila was a close second for me, he has one hell of a creepy voice too. Varg as well. Who's yours??

Attila os De mysteriis Dom Satanas??????????? are you joking??? one of the worst BM voices I've ever heard, the music is great, but Dead used to be the best Mayhem voice...

I know that Attila tried to improve his own style for that disc but he fails, I know that not all the BM voices should be the same but we have examples of different voices that are good ones...

I don´t care what anyone says. Attila did a fucken awesome job on De Misteriis Dom Sathanas!! My vote goes to him! His voice is unique and fits perfectly on that album!!

Seriously couldn't pick a favourite between Ihsahn and Abbath. Voted Ihsahn anyway, simply because I Am The Black Wizards happened to be playing at the time. Ihsahn I like for the variation he can pack into Emperors songs (the more experimental ones, at least). With Strength I Burn is a masterpiece. When it comes down to just the growl/scream though, i'd go with Abbath. Consistantly great, and manages to give each song an interesting tone, without changing his voice too much.

Abbath for me........probably because Immortal is my fav. black metal band and therefore its only normal that I would prefer him. Close second Quorthon for his passion in his songs transmitted through his vocals

My vote goes to Abbath for basically the same reason reason everyone else has which is because Immortal is my favorite Black Metal band. My next choice would be Varg he's insane.

I reckon Mortuss from Marduk.. He has such an evil prescense about him I cant explain, but probably Varg would follow after him then Manic (on Deathcrush that is).

I voted other, and my other is Torsten from Nocte Obducta. I think he has one of the most varied voices. What I mean is that he can do different types of voices, and they all sound great. I think he's one great vocalist.

Mine would be: 1/Other: Dani Filth, Im sure some will counter that about Cradle Of Filth but Dani voice is really insane and "cursed" 2/Varg Vikernes (Burzum) 3/ Quorthon (Bathory) Those 3 above are whose voice I like most. I'll have to go with Dimmu Borgir's Shagrath, at least his vocals from "For all tid". I think he's awesome on that album!

Nocturno Culto is my favorite Black Metal Vocalist (check "A Blaze In The Northern Sky") and Garm (check "Nattens Madrigal") But I must add that there are many good BM vocalists... like for example Quorthon (check "Under The Sign..." and Abbath (check "Pure Holocaust"... and Varg Vikernes (check "Burzum" and EP "Aske")...
