Has anyone heard Ufomammut? Very cool and original stoner from italy. One of my favourite italian band lately. Check them out!

My favorite is Evol, I like their songs with the dark touch of folk and their extreme lyrics.

i definately go for GRAVEWORM they are such an awesome band i love every song of them!! great atmosphere, great melodies, awesome violin and a very talented singer!!

besides them , Rhapsody, Elvenking...Luca Turilli is the legend. There are some really great power bands, but they all tend to be very similar in style which is not quite interesting for me...also Bulldozer is great old thrash band

For me, Graveworm or Opera IX. I can't really decide, they're both great (maybe I like Graveworm a bit more)

And there is one more band, quite unknown, which I found very interesting (despite the fact that they play gothic), and it's called How Like A Winter. Not the best italian metal band, but I liked it more than the other bands that play similar music to theirs.

Rhapsody, their symphony cant be beaten.

Yes Tysnaden is a good band. They album "Sham Of Perfection" is really good. I like their alternance of man/woman vocals especially on the song 'First Embrace'

yeh and not just clean vocals. Snears, grunts nd growls. The girl has such an awesome voice, and man the the musicians are tight.

Haven´t listenened to so much Italian bands. Forgotten Tomb and Void Of Silence is the two bands which have impressed me. Both have this cold and depressive sound .

The best band of Italy is NanowaR of Steel! Tr00 and kvlt and awesome and amazing! They might not have many songs of their own, but they're terrific guys and they surely know how to spend their time creatively! Apart from that, I would vote for Elvenking or Lacuna Coil.

I point out Mandragora Scream....I honour the music of this band very much....their singer Morgan LaCroix has grand vocal abilities and her voice suits perfectly with the male vocals by Terry Horn....and well.....I like their goth/powerish music....for me this band is one of the best among those hailing from Italy.....

Bulldozer, without a doubt. The Day Of Wrath is one hell of an album, and the rest of their albums aren't that bad either. After Bulldozer, I'd say Necrodeath, because of Into The Macabre, and their demo The Shining Pentagram. Other bands would be Electrocution and Death SS.

Agree! But instead of Lacuna I would go with Rhapsody......of Fire (better add the of fire, dont wanna get sued nor anything =P)
