Type O Negative also do an great job at covers. Type O Negative - Summer Breeze (Seals and Crofts cover) Type O Negative - Cinnamon Girl (Neil Young Cover) Type O Negative - Paranoid (Black Sabbath Cover) Thyrfing - Over the Hills and Far Away (Led zeppelin) Moonsorrow - For Whom The Bell Tolls (Metallica cover) and I hate everything about Metallica but that cover is really good. Not all of these are covers of metal songs but they have definitely been made metal. Anthrax - Destroyer (Twisted Sister) Motorhead - Shoot em down (Twisted Sister) Demons and Wizards - Immigrant song (Led Zeppelin), White Room (Eric Clapton) Children Of Bodom - Somebody put something in my drink (Ramones), Bed of Nail (Alice Cooper), Talk Dirty to me (Poison) Helloween - Paint it black (Rolling Stones)

I don't like Motorhead in general though I must say Lemmy's vocals aren't that bad, in fact they are pretty cool 'cause he can sing high notes, but at the same time he has this distinctive hoarseness in his voice, which is great, but anyway I prefer the original. P.S. Does Lemmy smoke?

I think The Black Dahlia Murder's cover of Paint It Black was epic. It makes for a great metal song.

Diamonds and Rust by Thunderstone, a power metal version that i highly recommend. House of the Rising Sun by Sentenced, probably the most inebreated cover of any song ive heard in awhile. The Ripper by Iron Maiden, i think its hilarious to hear bruce dickinsons voice sing that song. he makes it sound so cheesy...in a good way though! and if i werent retarded i could think of more but since i am i cant.

16.12.2008 - 18:59 Written by Krle_metalherra on 16.12.2008 at 18:04 That's correct, Children Of Bodom NEVER recorded cover songs of Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" (actual cover by Sentenced) or Europe's "Final Countdown" (covered by Norther and Dispatched).
