My favorite has to be from a band I very recently discovered, called Shade Empire. Their track Ravine is one excellent instrumental. Cool piano intro especially.

19.11.2006 - 06:50 Written by Bad English on 18.11.2006 at 15:24 no way!!! for real? do he have a new single? or it's kinda like a new cd or it's just a demo, sample?.? and if that's in czech I guess I'm gonna need some translation on that as it looks so damn hard to pronounce a word; and if that's a new cd from milos, is it already out? or is it only available in Europe? can I find it over here? I'll be pretty happy to get that stuff, I really like his job on the cd I mentioned ("chamber metal") and even it would be nice to hear some Czech maybe I can get a word btw, it could be difficult to write even his name, but milos it's alright, let's keep out of problems ...

@k7: I can imagine how hard it is to pronounce a word in those languages but I guess I may enjoy the sound at least?;) btw arakain website looks pretty nice the only problem is that my translation tool is not working right now so it gets harder to translate, damn it; the language sounds great, although their music is good i guess i prefer other bands

I probably the only that has yet to mention "Cosmic Sea" by the late great Death. It has such a great vibe, the cool sound effects, great technicality, and bass. Also what are your guys thoughts on Atheists' "Samba Briza"?I find it very peaceful and unique, has some of the best bass ever, and a latin and jazz vibe to it.

I've recently fallen in love with Arch Enemys instrumental songs, they are very emotional, sad and beautiful. I've probably already mentioned this but sad emotional instrumentals are my favourites, the only negative with those songs is that they mostly are about 1-2 minutes short

so many good instrumentals to choose from! Yngwie Malmsteen has many great ones, Stratovarius has released some nice ones as well....and Sonata Arctica has their "Revontulet" track. For me a good instrumental should have Neo-Classical shredding and/or nice keyboards. though I do also like Burzum's "Naar Himmelen Klarner"....

Another song I regard as an instrumental, even though it contains a foreboding voice courtesy of King Diamond at the end: King Diamond - Cremation. Its very haunting guitar lead makes it so damn hypnotising and just plain awesome imo

Well, if your counting live solos and stuff, CoBs 'Stockholm Knockout Live' has 2 really good ones and 1 not so good one Clash of the Booze Brothers- a really cool duel between Janne Warman and Alexi Laiho Deadbeats I- Jaskas drum solo, very cool and Latvalas guitar solo which doesnt impress me very much.

Other ones I love are: "Celephaïs" and "Sarkomand" by Evol, "Heroes of the lost valley" by Rhapsody Of Fire and "Hunab K'u" by Epica
