damn i voted other i didn't saw that Death was on the list ...

I've chosen Nile; their death metal is unparalled:lyrically as well as musically.

Hmm.. all the bands in the list are the one's I listen to the most . This is going to be pretty hard. I have to say, my vote goes to Cannibal Corpse. They are my favorite Death Metal band. I really like their sound. But I like the other ones too! If I had to list them up, it would look like this:

1. Cannibal Corpse
2. Morbid Angel / Deicide
3. Nile / Dying Fetus / Death
4. Obituary
5. Autopsy

Vader, Dies Irae and Behemoth! On a side note I am an unusual dm fan because I never seem to like the bands others do. For example I don't like any of the options on the poll.

Death - easily the greatest band there on the list!

Nile, because they tend to be on the darker side of Death Metal. I enjoy the darker material. I also listen to alot of Deeds of Flesh. Their style is just so dominating. I love that stuff.

quo vadis is an amazing band, i think they should be on that poll...

hmm... I vote other band. My favorite death metal band is Entombed because I like their vocalist and their guitars.

Death for sure, I'm not biased, Is just that nobody has been able to surpass Leprosy.

Vomitory is good to, and also Deicide.

Death gets my vote. I've been addicted to their music for way too long, constantly playing their albums. It's interesting to know that a constantly changing lineup still result in high quality album after high quality album. Nile, Dying Fetus and Cannibal Corpse don't really belong here, IMO, it should strictly contain bands that play pure DM or played pure DM at some point.

Decapitated, how can we forget them?

Karl Sanders is amazing, and Ni greatest band of death metal for me, even when i don't listen very much the genre.

Maybe there are awesome bands... but for me it's Death the best band ...

Opeth of course, probably because I'm such a Progressive fan. But maybe they don't count since it's not "pure" Death Metal? If so, Death is my choice of the day. Fast, heavy and catchy.

My vote goes to Dismember, their debut album "like an ever flowing stream" is a true death metal classic.

Damn this is hard to decide on, the death metal scene is huge and there are so many good bands out there. I voted other.. and i don't have one favorite, impossible for me. I'll go with a top 5 and the bands on it will be : Suffocation, Decapitated, Vader, Sinister and Morbid Angel.

I like Death, Nile, Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse a lot but for me Vader is the one!! Doc R.I.P.

Cannibal Corpse all the way

Suffocation is my favorite death metal band, with Dying Fetus being an extremely close second. The guitar solos are savage and most of the songs are written well enough to flow smoothly. I love Frank's angry voice, Terrance's ingenious guitar playing, and Mike's technical drumming.

They pump me up.
